The Hi-Land Lake Conservancy is a 501(c)3 non-profit which was established in 2020 for the purpose of holding the Little Island in a public trust, so that we all can enjoy, and preserve, this little gem. We will keep it natural and open for all to enjoy, forever.
Representatives from the HLPOA and HLIB have met with the DNA and shoreline experts to address erosion that we all have witnessed. We have begun install of a safe, attractive, stone and woody barrier that will protect the island without reducing access to swim areas.
In 2023, we had excellent volunteer turnout to help with some of the heavy lifting. This is a multi-season project, so keep an eye out for more opportunities to help preserve our Little Island!
